AJAX Fibra Superior MultiTransmitter Without Casing

Many buildings in Lebanon already have a wired alarm system: detectors in the ceilings, contacts on the doors and cables running through the walls. Replacing all of that is expensive and disruptive. Ajax has just added a new module to its Superior line that lets installers keep the good parts of an old installation and connect them to a modern Ajax system: the Ajax Superior MultiTransmitter (8 inputs) Fibra.

What's new

The new MultiTransmitter is a wired integration board with eight inputs for third-party devices. It accepts the usual wiring types used in professional alarm work (NO, NC, EOL, 2EOL and 3EOL), and it can also handle key switches (KeyArm) and roller shutter detectors. It has no outputs; its job is to bring signals into the Ajax system.

Two details make installation simpler. First, the board takes its power from the Fibra line itself, so there is no separate power cable and no backup battery to fit. Second, it can feed connected devices with 12 V at up to 0.5 A. The board is mounted in one of the compatible Ajax casings (Case A, B, D or E), so it can be matched to the size of the job.

It sits between the existing models in the range: the single-input Superior Transmitter Fibra, the MultiTransmitter IO (4x4) Fibra with four inputs and four relay outputs, and the larger 18-input Superior MultiTransmitter Fibra with its own mains supply and battery.

Why it matters

Once wired, each connected device shows up in the Ajax apps like any native Ajax detector. It can be configured remotely and used in automation scenarios, and alarms reach the owner and the monitoring station through the Ajax platform. Ajax states the module complies with EN 50131 Grade 3, the level expected for high-risk sites such as banks and jewellery shops.

It also opens the door to devices Ajax does not make itself, for example seismic (vibration) detectors on safes, wired panic buttons or roller shutter sensors.

Who it's for

  • Shops, offices and small commercial sites that want to upgrade an old wired panel while keeping working detectors and cabling.
  • Installers and integrators who need a mid-size, line-powered input module: more inputs than the 4x4, without the mains wiring of the 18-input version.
  • High-security sites that need Grade 3 compliance and specialist third-party sensors.

What this means for you in Lebanon

Retrofitting instead of rewiring means less drilling, less downtime and a lower bill. Because the board runs from the Fibra line, the whole system relies on the hub's own power and backup, which is a real advantage during power cuts. You also get remote monitoring and alerts on your phone, with our technicians available locally for installation and support.
